BERLIN (dpa-AFX) - Die deutsche Industrie nimmt die Sicherung strategisch wichtiger Rohstoffe auf den Weltmärkten stärker ins Visier. Dafür ist eine 'Allianz zur Rohstoffsicherung' als Projekt beim Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie (BDI) gegründet worden. Am Montag war ein Treffen mit mehreren Unternehmen vorgesehen, die an einer Beteiligung interessiert sind, wie ein Sprecher auf Anfrage sagte. Damit wurden Informationen der 'Financial Times Deutschland' (Montag) bestätigt. Hintergrund ist unter anderem die starke Abhängigkeit von China, die sich für deutsche Unternehmen als riskant erweist.
Mitte Dezember war der Eon-Manager Dierk Paskert bereits zum Geschäftsführer der Allianz bestimmt worden. Zweck des Bündnisses sind Engagements bei Rohstoffprojekten im Ausland.
Rohstoffe wie Seltene Erden sind für Zukunftstechnologien immens wichtig. Elektromobilität, Windenergie, Katalysatoren oder auch die Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik sind darauf angewiesen. China hat zwar nur ein Drittel der Vorkommen der Seltenen Erden weltweit, versorgt aber den Weltmarkt zu 97 Prozent. Seit 2009 beschränkt China zudem die Exporte./sam/DP/tw
